At Her Homes Housing & Resources, our primary objective is to address homelessness by reshaping the environments and perceptions of young women and girls who have experienced disruptions due to foster care, loss, abuse, and the necessity for second chances. We are dedicated to providing essential resources that empower these individuals to pursue pathways toward stability, self-esteem, and confidence.
Divas Build Futures Inc. serves as a mentor and empowerment program for girls aged 10 to 25. We confront significant issues such as depression, low self-esteem, and lack of confidence, equipping participants with the tools necessary to overcome obstacles and aspire to a more promising future. The acronym DIVA represents the ideal of being Determined, Intelligent, Virtuous, and Ambitious, guiding girls as they transition into young women.
Our Youthful Voices Mentoring Program focuses on youth mentorship for both boys and girls aged 10 to 18 years. We believe in motivating our younger generation to instill values of character, resilience, and leadership. Our program is designed to nurture young minds by providing them with the tools and support necessary to navigate life's challenges confidently and responsibly.

For more than a decade, our sister organization, Divas Build Futures Inc., has been a powerful force in mentoring girls and women through life skills training, grief support, and empowerment. We recognize that numerous challenges have historically impeded their ability to remain stable and fully utilize the resources available to them for success. Often, they find themselves without guidance after a setback or miscommunication. It’s undeniable that our lives can change in an instant—sometimes we're ready, and sometimes we're caught off guard. Our initiative aims to establish a comprehensive program that actively collaborates with the community and our participants, positioning us as a beacon of hope in our neighborhood. Heres our answer.
Empowerment & Community Building
Problem: The absence of mentorship and guidance leaves them ill-equipped to handle everyday responsibilities, leading to a cycle of instability and, ultimately, homelessness. A Home for Her aims to address these gaps by advocating for better resources, stronger community connections, and more comprehensive support systems to ensure that girls and women have the opportunities and encouragement they need to thrive in their lives.
Our Solution: Such programs promote empowerment by helping residents build a sense of community and belonging. They can connect with peers who understand their experiences, which can be incredibly healing and motivating.

Our Solution:Providing a transitional housing program, girls and women will have access to a safe and secure living environment. This stability is crucial for rebuilding their lives and alleviating the anxiety and fear associated with homelessness.

Over the last 11 years, Divas Build Futures has made a remarkable impact by aiding over 800 girls and women through essential mentoring and life skills development. DBF is dedicated to empowering young females to realize their potential, providing them with the tools they need to thrive in their personal and professional lives. Through structured programs and supportive mentorship, Divas Build Futures Inc. fosters confidence, resilience, and self-sufficiency, guiding participants toward a brighter future.

Welcome to our comprehensive Etiquette and Character Development course designed for young ladies aged 11-15. This engaging program aims to equip participants with essential social skills, effective communication techniques, and personal habits that foster confidence and grace. Through interactive lessons, role-playing, and hands-on activities, students will explore the foundations of etiquette and character building, culminating in a celebratory graduation event to honor their achievements. This course offers a supportive environment for personal growth, empowerment, and the development of lifelong skills.

As the proud founder of Her Homes Housing and Divas Build Futures Inc., my mission is fueled by an unwavering passion to empower women to reach their fullest potential. By holding on to faith, embracing positivity, and accepting life's challenges, we can transform our struggles into stepping stones. If God brought me through my trials, I know He can lead you through yours, too. I've witnessed the remarkable power of transformation in my own life, having faced grief, homelessness, and self-doubt that reshaped my world. With Christ guiding me, I discovered a new path filled with light and hope. I'm eager to share this goodness through acts of service, creating a ripple effect of gratitude and kindness.
My vision is to establish safe enviroments where girls and women can nurture their growth and healing, accessing essential resources for their spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Growing up in a time when home economics and woodshop were part of high school, I was taught essentials that help carry me through my life as a woman today. I was blessed to be raised by my Aunt and Uncle after the passing of my mother when I was just ten years old. My journey wasn’t easy; I stumbled and crawled until my faith in Christ helped me rise and walk a straight path filled with purpose and promise. My mission is to spread hope and unwavering faith through every challenge we face. These dreams are more than mere ideas; they are powerful visions filled with potential. I am dedicated to equipping every girl with the tools she needs to flourish, reminding each of you that together, we can break down barriers and pave the way to a brighter tomorrow.
